Atlantic Embrace a solo exhibition by Nici Le Gear

Explore the awe-inspiring beauty of the Atlantic Ocean through my latest collection, “Atlantic Embrace,” on display at the Hunt Museum Café from October 24th, 2023, to January 1st, 2024.

This solo exhibition features 19 original paintings in oil and acrylic, each one a captivating exploration of the west coast’s dramatic seascapes and serene beaches.

Inspiration from the Ocean’s Embrace

The Atlantic Ocean has always held a special place in my heart. Its raw power and tranquil beauty offer a sense of solace and rejuvenation. “Atlantic Embrace” invites you to experience this therapeutic connection through my artwork.

“From the invigorating rush of the roaring waves to the peaceful serenity of tranquil beaches, this exhibition invites you to experience the ocean’s therapeutic embrace,” I explain. “In the presence of the Atlantic, your worries become mere grains of sand in the grand scheme of existence. The ocean’s ceaseless roar reminds us of the insignificance of our troubles, filling us with a sense of wonder and humility.”

A Connection to Limerick and Clare

This collection resonates deeply with people from Limerick and Clare, offering a glimpse of the familiar beauty that surrounds us.

“Especially as we move into winter, our minds can cast back to holidays and breaks away – the coast holds a special place in all our hearts,” I say.

A Journey to Embrace Art

My artistic journey began with a long-held dream of sharing my art with the world. Finally, a personal turning point pushed me to take the leap and pursue this passion.

“Being an artist allows me to embrace the preciousness of the present moment. It serves as a constant reminder to seize the day, to pursue our passions relentlessly, and to leave behind a legacy that transcends our own mortality.”

Art: A Timeless Legacy

Creating art has enriched my life in countless ways. It allows me to appreciate the fleeting beauty of the world around us and share my emotions and experiences with others.

“Through my creations, I have found a way to share my innermost thoughts and experiences, in the hopes of touching someone else’s heart, offering solace, or even inspiring a sense of awe. I am an artist because life is too short, and art is a timeless vessel that carries our emotions and stories long after we are gone.”

The exhibition is open for viewing Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4.30pm and Sundays from 11am to 4pm at the Hunt Museum Café. There will be an official opening on Saturday, November 4th, 2023, at 4pm.
